The Crustacean was designed and built for the State of Mississippi dept. of Marine research. Its mission is to monitor the shrimp and crab count and size to determine the upcoming shrimp season for the State. This mono hull vessel can operate in shallow water and also is used in the open waters of the Mississippi Sound and the Gulf of Mexico.
It has a very spacious cabin with a work desk and a settee for those long days out. The aft deck has 96 sq. feet of unobstructed space w/ deep gunnels. There is a custom Kangaroo tail w/ winch for pulling their trolling nets. The vessel takes the seas well with its Deep Vee at the bow.
